prison cell of human life
So long as you are satisfied with the prison cell of human life you can not understand the teachings of the great masters or approach the Buddha's way. Buddha's teaching is a fierce and powerful argument against the habits embodied in the sleep walking state of human life. Profound and total dissatisfaction is the entry point to Dharma.
A ritual, whose tradition is born from authentic wisdom and empowered by realized adepts, is a living book whose meanings are written in actions. If practiced, lived, with understanding then ritual has the power to divulge wisdom in a medium of immediacy that bypasses the distortions of confused mind's delusions. This is not to be confused with the play acting of little boys and mechanical religionists. - t.k.
