trinity of knowing
Without abiding prior to consciousness and Beingness there can be no freedom.
If there is identification with the body there can be no freedom at all - in the extreme. There are 3 primary forms of identification – the body, the Beingness and the absolute. There are some others such as the mental body and other subtle bodies but these three are the trifecta of identity.
When that which knows identities with the body this is so narrow, so constrained, that there can be no real happiness. Time and space, impermanence and constant change are a shoe a couple sizes to small.
If you fall out of the content of consciousness and into the context that is Beingness and consciousness itself then you move from the impermanent to pure bliss and consciousness. The I Am is blissful …. and also partial. The I Am is a tipping point in the investigation of identity …. the I Am arises on, and as, the foundational misunderstanding. But, if you come to this place of pure consciousness, pure I Am-ness then it is a quite easy jumping off place into the openness of the Absolute.
The Absolute is without change or modification and yet is the origin of all that changes and ceaselessly modifies. Every “thing” emerges from and remains within it – though it itself is not a thing or a place or a process..... or a totality of parts.
It is a tricky point that the Absolute is not Absolute. (Rinpoche laughs) The Absolute is unchanging and unchangeable and yet it does not deny the flow of bliss luminosity within its ownmost expanse. It does not deny the ceaseless magical act of appearing without there being anything.
Before coming to rest idientity in the coffin of the Absolute there is grasping to body, world, beings, Buddhas, and to the bliss luminous openness of Beingness without limit or form. After all of this passes away in the Absolute then there still appears body, beings, Buddhas, bliss, expanse and yet there is no grasping to identity – even the identity of an Absolute.
To understand all this you must meditate. It cannot be come by words or concepts. All of these concepts here, these words, they emerge after the Beingness and the Absolute whose realization sets free everything and is prior to Beingness. Prior to Beingness is the key.
Consciousness and Beingness are utterly empty, devoid of even a trace of existent reality and yet they appear and this paradox is what is known and lived from the vantage point of the Absolute. This living is what is called a sage. From that stronghold of unutterableness appearing and living are frolic and humor of wonderment. This is not a reification or glorification of things in and of themselves. Every thing must be lost in the progressive illumination that outshines everything and then in the penultimate mystery of the Absolute. Then ....... resurrection ..... without identity or even being ... or non-being.
There - nothing remains and nothing is lost. There - nothing is or is not. There - there is appearing and there is appearance and yet there is nothing whatsoever and nothing is ever happening. It is birthless and the origin of all births. Everything is born from it, and in it, and yet nothing has ever been born. This is can only be known through authentic meditation which is released from the constraints of dogma.
Freedom, nothingness and arugala …. that is my life. I am all three and I am none of them.
